Annet Mahendru

Mahendru was born to her Russian mother and Hindu Indian father in Afghanistan. Mahendru speaks fluent German Russian, English in addition to French Persian and Hindi. Annet Mahendru, born in India to a Russian father and an Indian mother, speaks fluently of both Indian and Russian. When she was 11, she choreographed an act that gained her an appearance on German television as a beautiful Russian snow maiden, who turns into a lively Indian dancer. Her high school graduation was successful and earned a bachelor's degree from the Department of English at the University of New York. The classes she took in acting were in the HB Studios, but then went on to study improv comedy at the Groundlings School. She was created at the age of 13 in Kabul Afghanistan, to Hindu-Indian Ghanshan Kenne Mahendru (father) and Russian Olga (mother). The family moved to East Meadow New York, together with her father after she turned 13 and stars with Matthew Rhys and Keri Russel on FX's The Americans. The Americans' Nina Sergeevna Krilova was the most well-known character. She also had recurring roles on Fox's The Following as well as NBC's The Blacklist.
